Saturday 15th - Port Douglas

Today we headed to Port Douglas 230km south of our stop last night, it was good to be off the red dirt and on the black tar, it's fun on the dirt but enough is enough. The van won't get a wash until we get home but the car will get one tomorrow. Most of the trip was on the tablelands withe some great views.

The road coming down the mountain was very windy and it was low gear for most of the day. Cam and Garry couldn't get a park in town as they where all full, they even had difficulty the night before so we are staying at the Big 4 a little ways out of town, we have large shady sites so it worked out ok.

In the afternoon we went into Port Douglas for a quick look see and pick up some brochures on reef cruisers. We checked out the local lookout the has a great view of the main beach.
