Saturday 22nd - Bluewater Park

Today we headed south towards Townsville and around the Tully area we saw a number of sugar cane harvesters and trains working, this is the first cane trains we have seen on the trip.

We stopped of at Mission Beach where Cam was going for a tandem skydive. It is a nice little spot with a great beach, a place to come back to.

Cams skydive trip, he said it was awesome, they actually land on the beach, he stayed in Mission Beach for the night.

We later stopped at the Frozen Mango for a break and a mango ice cream.

As we only had 16km to our nightly stop at Bushy Park we decided to go to the next rest stop at Bluewater creek it was packed when we arrived with about 30 vans and motor homes, we where lucky to find a spot, those coming in later found it really hard. Shane and Sueanne went into Townsville to see the chap whose property we are staying on at Dingo Point near Airlie Beach, as he is in Townsville hospital.

 During tea we had a night visitor.
